The Wheelbarrow

Trennung

Wheelbarrow from Wikipedia:

A wheelbarrow is a small one-wheeled, hand-propelled vehicle, designed to be pushed and guided by a single person using two handles to the rear.

It is designed to distribute the weight of its load between the wheel and the operator so enabling the convenient carriage of heavier and bulkier loads than would be possible were the weight carried entirely by the operator. Their use is common in the construction industry and in gardening.

A two-wheel type is more stable, while the almost universal one-wheel type has better maneuverability in small spaces or on planks. The use of one wheel also permits greater control of the deposition of the load on emptying.

So everbody knows what a wheelbarrow is. But it's the same with the company as it is with our wheelbarrow - it's something really special and exciting about it.

Deep inside a soldier is a master of improvisation and of misappropriation.

One day a soldier of the 6th company recognized the advantage of a fixed campfire place. But on a cobbled site you have to make some effort to have one. And by thinking about this a orphaned wheelbarrow came into his view. And at this point the thing with the imprivisation and misappropriation come to effect. Wouldn't it be easily possible to convert a wheelbarrow to a campfire place? So everybody in the company could meet there every evening by the fire and sing a song after they had a nice barbecue and one or two, or more, drinks. This would be great for comradeship.

Said and done! And in the same evening you cold see a bright fire gleaming through the barracks in Bayreuth. The idea had found it's supporters.

But in the morning on the next day the first sergeant had seen the rests of the party. Scandalized by the consequences the nightly venture had for the usually very clean Hainbuchenplatz, the first sergeant took the innocent wheelbarrow and brought it to the garbage dump to end there forever. Something lika this should never happen again. Never again pieces from charcoal and ash should disfigure the countenance of the Hainbuchenplatz.

But when the others heard about the fate of their new comrade they founded a squad to prevent the wheelbarrow from it's crewl destiny. And short after the new friend had been released he did his new job good again in the same evening.

But in the next morning the same happened as the day before. Worried the comrades came together and discussed how they might fix the wheelbarrow on it's new place and also in their middle - for eternity. Fast the had figured out a solution and taken out a paving stone from the place surace. The wheelbarrow become fixed with extra hard cement to prevent it from every unauthorized access.

And so the wheelbarrow had become the middle of many parties and the guarantee for fun and gregariousness. And the comrades had seen that it was good. Only the first sergeant had his problems with the new equipment on the Hainbuchenplatz - but not for very long. In the end they had become good friends.

But there's still somebody to mention. He had a croush on the wheelbarrow. By the time they had a deep relationship. He tried so hard to offer some changes to the wheelbarrow. And so he experimented with many kinds of material to keep the eternal flame burning. Many of you you would like to know what the name of the wheelbarrow-campfire pioneer is, but everbody only knows his nickname: Kullnrudi (Coal-Rudi). Usualy you can see him drive around through the country with his VW Bora. And this is the guy:
